Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil
Originating in Australia, the Aborigines used the oil as a traditional medicine for centuries. The native Australians crushed tea tree leaves to extract the oil, which is then inhaled to treat coughs and colds or applied directly to the skin for healing purposes. The leaves and twigs from this plant are steam distilled to capture the best possible properties. When used in an electronic diffuser, the tea tree oil gives a warm, spicy scent and boosts immunity, eliminates bacteria, fights infections, reduces anxiety, and relieves insomnia as well as congestion.
